Please do not be worried about using the glue on your face! Just make sure it is non toxic and there wont be a problem but just to be safe, do a path test a day before to make sure you are not allergic to the mixture. Christmas LUSH haul 2014 | MakeupWithMillie24

Theirs nothing I like more than going to LUSH and raiding their seasonal section. This year I bought so much I uploaded two haul videos! It was all so tempting!

A review of some of my favourites-

The melting snowman- This bath melt has a cinnamon smell which I'm not overly keen on; however, it was the visual half that won me over. If I'm honest, I'm not overly sure that I'm even going to use it. It will feel as though I am killing Olaf from 'Frozen' which I don't think I'm prepared for!

It is made with enriching oils and cocoa butter so I'm hoping it will leave my skin smooth. I've heard many good reviews from YouTubers SprinkleOfGlitter, Zoella and Gabby about the moisturising qualities of these bath bombs. Fingers crossed!

The Christmas hedgehog-
This bubble bar doesn't have the nicest smell. It has a very strong Jasmine fragrance which is quite overpowering; however, the bath water should dilute this smell and leave you in a Christmas mood!

This is another moisturising product but this one turns your bath water into a frosty blue water. In effect, it reminds me of the sea on a cold winters night but it helps me to relax. When ever I use this style of bubble bar, I find it creates a pleasant atmosphere if you add candles around the bath and have low lighting.

The snow fairy-
Lush bring this shower gel out every year without fail; leading me to believe that it is a popular product. Something many people have told me is that they use this product as a shampoo and it works wonders for their damaged hair and leaves it smelling amazing.

Snow Fairy smells of candy-floss and all things sweet. I personally pair it with candy mountain as they both have similar colours and an identical smell! Even though it has a powerful smell, it is suitable for sensitive skin and some people claim that it helps their eczema! It lathers extremely well and the smell lingers for the rest of the day (if you shower in the mornings).

For anyone who loves there bath time, I would definitely recommend LUSH. When entering the store, don't forget your gas masks though because the smell is extremely overpowering! Especially for people with asthma. If the smell is too much, just order online as they have a great delivery service.

Cheap Christmas room decor!

Before and after pictures

So it's December 1st tomorrow which means that Christmas is fast approaching, although I started singing Christmas songs a good month ago. What can I say? I enjoy being festive early ;)
This is my room decoration this year. It was inspired by Pinterest and Tumblr. It was easy, fast and cheap! I wanted a cosy winter wonderland feel to it and I personally feel that I achieved this.

If you want to give your bedroom a christmas makeover then a Christmas tree is a huge necessity! Green didn't fit in the colour theme I have in my room so I broke tradition and purchased a white tree. For decoration I used a selection of blue and silver baubles as I feel the colours compliment each other very well.

For some reason I had it in my head that I NEEDED Christmas bedding to complete the look so I bought this red and white Rudolph style bedding. They only did this bedding for double beds and I had a single bed. I was so desperate for it that I switched my single duvet for a double one. It drowns my bed a little bit but the atmosphere it creates is definitely worth it!

Above my bed, I replaced the silver purse and mac lipsticks with two, LED figurines. The one on the left is a snowman and on the right, a penguin. These were extremely cheap and I purchased them for detail and added light for when it's dark.

ITEMS (warning- Everything was from b&m!)

- Xmas tree. £10.00. I purchased it from B&M
- Baubles. £3.00 altogether. Again, from B&M (I did warn you :D)
-Christmas figurines- £2.50 each. I purchased them from B&M
-Reindeer bedding- £15.00. Purchased from B&M.
-White pillows- £3.00-£6.00. Guess where they were from...
OMG!! YOU'RE RIGHT! B&M.

Urban Decay Lush Lash mascara review

The first thing that drew me to this mascara was definitely the packaging. The sleek lavender packaging with a vine-like design really attracted me to this product. Obviously, I can't just judge a product by its appearance so I tried out the mascara itself. I have to say I wasn't disappointed.

First of all, the shape of the brush really helps to shape and lengthen my lashes. I always have a huge problem when testing mascaras and that is applying it to my bottom lashes. The brush always ends up being to big and just doesn't work. With this brush, applying mascara to my bottom lashes has never been easier!

Another thing I want to mention is how little you actually need to use. Also, because you don't need to use a lot, the clumping of lashes doesn't occur. I am so thankful for that because whenever my eyelashes clump, I always find myself picking my lashes and that isn't good. As well as that, it is good for your lashes health-wise. It states on the Urban Decay website that it helps nourish and lengthen lashes. Personally, I haven't noticed a huge difference but I have long eyelashes anyway so maybe that’s why?

I know a lot of mascara buyer’s worry about the formulae flaking; however, many online reviews and I agree that it doesn't flake. One less thing to worry about! You don't have to worry about looking fake either because this is very natural looking mascara. It has a natural black colour, separates lashes and applies evenly. I use around 4 coats and they still look natural!

In conclusion, I would 100% recommend this product to anyone looking for a new mascara.  Especially to those of you that may have sensitive eyes as it causes absolutely no irritation. Another bonus is that is that you don't need a skip-full of baby wipes to remove this; it easily comes off with soap and water without the black ring around your eyes.

5 beauty hacks that will change your life!

 1. Perfect the ‘cat-eye’ look using tape!
If you place sticky tape at an angle, any mistakes you make will transfer onto the tape and you will end up with a perfectly defined line! After you have finished, remove the tape and praise the freakin lord for the invention of tape!

2. How to make your eye shadow colours POP!
Before going in with the actual eye shadow, apply a primer (I recommend Urban Decay Primer Potion) and then pat a white/cream eye shadow to use as a base. This all allows you to use the colours to their full potential and really makes them 'POP'

3. Use conditioner as an alternative to shaving cream.
In my opinion, conditioner is so much better at moisturising the legs than shaving cream. I also feel that it gives me a closer shave and the hair doesn't start to grow back for up to 3 days!

4. Make your own lip-gloss using Vaseline and pigment!
I don't know about you, but sometimes I see pigment colours that I decide would look gorgeous as a lip-gloss but not so much eye shadow.  Now, all you need to do is mix petroleum jelly and any pigment together to create your lip-gloss!

5. Allow perfume to last all day!
This is really simple; all you need to do is apply Vaseline on the area you want to spray the perfume. Once the Vaseline has sunk into the skin, you can go ahead with the perfume. This one doesn't always work for me but every now and again it does. It all depends on the perfume.

MAC lipstick swatches + review!

MAC lipstick swatches + review!

                                                                     From top-

VIVA GLAM RIHANNA A93- This is definitely my go-to lipstick for the weekends. It has a frost finish which shows excellent colour payoff.  The final shade of this lipstick really depends on your skin tone. If you have a darker shade of skin tone, it generally appears as a deep metallic brown; however, the lighter your skin is, the more amplified the colour-payoff is. The red itself is blue based although it is a frost finish and has gold flecks in it. Overall, all of that together leaves a warm tone. Also, if you are a lover of obvious red shades, this one probably isn't for you. On application, it is slightly orange and more of a subtle red. It all depends on your skin tone. It glides on very smoothly and is surprisingly long lasting for a finish that isn't matte.

Obviously, I have to talk about the packaging of Viva Glam Rihanna. It is a limited edition product but it is still available from places such as Ebay and Amazon. The packaging has a very rubberised feel to it and is also durable. It has a glowing red effect to it and is a must-have for any makeup collection on display!

Please me- I definitely would like to point out that the shade of this lipstick doesn't seem to wash out any skin tone. It is a matte finish but it isn't as drying as most other lipsticks. Also, I would say that this is an everyday lipstick as it almost matches my lip shade now. It's nowhere near a barbie pink colour, instead it's more of a natural shade which seems to cover any fine lines I may have on my lips. It matches any outfit and allows you to really go to town on your eyeshadow!

Vegas Volt B63- Recently I have been loving coral colours, hence the purchase of Vegas Volt. It is an amplified finish and appears as a pastel orange with a hint of neon. This product isn't too in your face. It's a much more subtle version of Morange. It has no shimmer or frost, yet leaves a beautiful gloss to the lips. Like all mac lipsticks, it has the classic black and silver packaging along with great pigmentation. It also has the distinct vanilla fragrance to it.

Girl About Town A14- This is by far one of MAC's most popular lipstick choices for the night. If I ever go shopping in the evening, I always see girl's in their 20's wearing this distinct shade. Must be why its called Girl About Town! It is a medium-dark fuchsia pink with blue undertones and silver specks. It has an amplified creme finish. Unfortunately, I find that this lipstick needs reapplying every 1-2 hours and simply isn't long lasting. This may be because it has a creamier consistency than any other lipstick in the launch; therefore, it creates a fresh look to a plain or dull face. In my opinion, this is the pink lipstick to have in your collection. It doesn't necessarily need a lip-liner, it doesn't settle into fine lines and fades evenly!

Saint Germain A73- This lipstick is also part of the amplified creme collection. In all honesty, I'm not particularly keen on this product. The colour after application isn't even and the formula seems to settle into every fine line I have on my lips. Also, because of the light pink shade, my teeth end up looking a greeny-yellow colour which ain't cute. I also feel like the overall shade is too much and I end up having to tone my eyeshadow down which I don't like doing. For £15.00 a tube, I was disappointed at the cheap, barbie finish it gave me.

Pink Poodle AB3- Something I like about this lipstick is that it feels very moisturising to the lips. Not like the other glaze finishes, which end up drying my lips out. A lot of people have told me that this shade does not work on warm skin tones, so (judging by that) I would recommend this for people with a lighter complexion.

This was brought back from the 2000's. It was featured in the Valentines Day collection and was brought back by request. The overall response to this product was positive with a lot of buyers pointing out that this was the exact lipstick Reese Witherspoon wore in the film 'Legally Blonde'!

Ruby Woo BC3- At first I was a bit scared of applying this lipstick because the colour is such a shocking red. Eventually, I applied the product and once again, MAC nailed it with the shade and blue-undertones! It is part of the matte collection and lasts all day! This is a shade that looks good on everyone if applied properly. It can be awkward to put on the lips because of the incredibly dry formula and definitely tugs at the lips; however, it works wonders at making your teeth appear whiter. Also, this product featured in Vogue magazine on the list of 10 best dark red, matte and deep red lipsticks. Girls, become a confident lipstick wearer and purchase this colour!

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend almost all of mac's lipsticks. The only lipstick I have encountered problems with is Saint Germain but you may have a different opinion on it. My favourite MAC lipstick by far is Vegas Volt as the pastel effect goes with my NC25 skin shade perfectly. Also, it brightens my whole face up and leaves the perfect amount of gloss to my lips. £15.00 is quite an expensive price to pay for one lipstick but I can promise you three things:

1. You will never be disappointed with the pigmentation level

2. The packing will never break and it protects the lipstick inside.
3. The lipsticks will have a very long life expectancy if used appropriately.

I hope you consider purchasing one of these lipsticks because I'm sure that many MAC lovers will agree that these lipsticks are a great choice.
